Sign in & activation

Argus uses Wazuh ID, the shared login across Wazuh Labs services. There is no separate Argus account: the same identity opens Argus, the Wazuh Hub, and every other Labs service the organization uses.

Sign in with Wazuh ID

Open the Argus console and click Sign in with Wazuh ID. The console redirects to id.wazuh.com to authenticate, then returns. The same page creates a new Wazuh ID account when none exists yet.

There is no in-app email and password form. Credentials, password resets, and multi-factor settings all live on Wazuh ID.

Signing out ends the session on every device, not only the current browser.

First sign-in: activation

The first time someone from an organization opens Argus, the console shows a one-time activation step:

  • Start here activates Argus for the organization. If the organization already has an Argus workspace, the new user joins it. Otherwise, if Argus is enabled for the organization, a fresh workspace is created and that user becomes its first admin.
  • Activation can also be driven from the Wazuh Hub: activating Argus on the organization's Hub card has the same effect.
note

Argus is in a closed beta. Creating a new workspace requires Argus to be enabled for the organization first. If it is not enabled yet, the activation step says so. Joining an existing workspace by invitation is not affected.

Start here can also be refused for reasons other than the closed beta. The organization may run Argus without this person having been given access to it, or it may not have activated Argus yet, which only certain organization roles in the Wazuh Hub can do. In each case the activation screen states which case it is and who can act. See Troubleshooting for the wording of each refusal.

Either way the console opens on an empty workspace, ready to connect the first cloud account.

note

The first confirmed user of a workspace is promoted to admin automatically. Everyone invited afterwards joins with the role the inviter chose. See Team & roles.

Joining by invitation

Invited members follow the same flow: the invitation email walks the invitee through creating a Wazuh ID account, and on the first sign-in to Argus the invitee joins the inviting workspace automatically, with no activation step and no manual linking. Invitations expire after 14 days.
