Connect Cloudflare

Argus scans a Cloudflare account read-only with an API token or a key + email. Nothing is installed, and Argus only ever reads.

Before you start

  • A read-only API token, or the account's Global API key and email.
  • An available account slot: Free connects one account, Pro connects an unlimited number. See Billing & plans.

Provider-side setup

  1. Create a scoped, read-only API token in Cloudflare, or use the legacy Global API key with the account email. Argus only reads.
  2. Copy the Account ID from the Cloudflare dashboard.

Required permissions

Give the API token these read-only permissions:

  • Account Settings: Read
  • Zone: Read
  • Zone Settings: Read
  • DNS: Read

Connect in Argus

Go to Accounts and click Connect account. Pick Cloudflare, then the recommended API token method. Enter:

FieldValue
Account IDthe Cloudflare account id
API tokenthe read-only token

Key + email

The Key + email method takes the API key and the account email instead of a token.

Connection test

Finish the wizard. Argus stores the credential server-side and runs an asynchronous connection test before the first scan. The account card reports Connected, Checking…, or Failed. On a failure, re-check the values above and use Test connection on the account card to retry.
